Interview with Paco Graff, Graffiti artist based in Dundee – Scotland.
I met Paco Graff in Dundee (Scotland), where he kindly answered a few questions for StreetArt360.
Hi Paco, great to see you, where are you from?
I’m from Narbonne in Occitanie (South of France)
Where are you currently based?
I’m living in Dundee. An amazing small city about 60 miles from Edinburgh.
How did you end up in Dundee?
My Partner and Daughter are Scottish and live here.
How did you discover Graffiti art?
When I was younger I loved watching famous graffiti crews like TRUE Skool from Toulouse, and C4 crew from Montpellier. I was fascinated by their artworks so I started experimenting with spray cans.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I’m very inspired by the work of other artists like EDMUN, DAIM, DER (from Toulouse) and SPASM. I particularly love painting wildlife and in 3D.
Where can we discover your graffiti artworks?
I have lots in Scotland, but also in France, and in major cities like Berlin, Prague and Amsterdam.
Do you have a dream place where you would like to paint?
At Five Points in New York (unfortunately it might be a bit too late now). I would also love to paint in Paris, London – all the main European cities really.
Do you have any upcoming events or art festivals in the next few months ?
Yes. I will be at the Yardworks Festival in Glasgow in May and at Graffiti Jam in Dundee.
Thanks a lot Paco. It’s been a pleasure to meet you. I’m sure I’ll see you very soon in Glasgow and Dundee.
