Since 2012 has began her art project PINK POWER.
“What phrase do you often see on the fence? Well, my name is [HULYA] and I submit my own project PINK POWER. In my interpretation the “pink” is a metaphor of femininity which made with “flesh and blood” and without “sweets and cakes, sweets of all kinds”. PINK POWER is tough and aggressive emotional project, despite the fact that pink is perceived as naive and sentimental color.
My target is to oppose the street culture to the culture of gloss, well-being, a fanatical cult of plastic beauty. I want to take the aggression and rude from the streets. I want to take the visual language and techniques from the glamour.
In my works I use magazines instead of canvases, cosmetics instead of paint, money instead of paper, sketches in the style of fashion illustrations. I don’t want to dwell on one technique, I want to experiment with surfaces and styles, I want to work with different materials. And I want to be recognized by the color and the overall concept.”
“Myths evoke feelings and imagination, as they are connected with subjects, which are parts of the common heritage of mankind.
Greek myths, as well as all other fairy tales and myths, are known to people for thousands of years, remain modern and important,
because they contain the truth about the experiences, which are common for all.”
PINKPOWER ARMY is the special project for the Urban Festival of Street culture FACES&LACES.
“Soldiers” of PINKPOWER ARMY are the series of personages which are inspired with famine images of goddesses from Greek mythology. They were taken as a basis for the project as one of the first archetypes of the collective unconscious. Each “soldier» has its own unique charisma and own “superpowers”. For example: people and Gods subordinated to the power of love of Aphrodite , Pallas Athena – Goddess of the organized war , military strategy and wisdom, Demeter – the embodiment of primordial creative energy , Nike – Goddess of victory , Eos – Goddess of dawn and waking, Hecate – Goddess of moonlight , of all the mysterious and magical , Persephone – Goddess of the realm of dead, Psyche – the personification of soul , Artemis – Goddess of hunt , Tyche ( Fortune ) – Goddess of fortune .
PINK POWER MUSE
PINK POWER MUSE it is special project for second biennale of street art Artmossphere.
( artmossphere.ru ) It is series of portraits. The main idea is in the the slogan – ”The Power of Your Inspiration” In the base of
the project there are the archetypes of ancient Greek Muses (The Muses – ancient Greek -. «Thinking» – patron of the arts and sciences)
which are reinterpreted in the context of contemporary reality. In the role of prototypes of «Muses» are showed the real characters of my surrounding, who somehow inspire me to various artistic experiments, give me confidence, make me to go out from my comfort zone and overcome those «invisible walls», which the Biennale is dedicated in. Each prototype is a portrait, where there is no any actual likeness, but it’s a stylized image of the most striking features, character and so on. Power of Pink Power – this is the creative power, that helps to discover the creative energy and to encourage the continuous experiment, overcoming fears and creating your own rules. This is that coincides with the mission of Artmossfere 2016.
